Governor of Lahj Major General Ahmad Turki discussed Monday with a team from the United Nations World Food Program (WFP), headed by the Deputy Director of the Program's office in Aden Rashid Hammad the latest developments in the governorate’s humanitarian situation amid escalating challenges facing thousands of poor and vulnerable households due to the reduction in aid volumes and the exclusion of a number of eligible cases from the Program's beneficiary rolls in recent periods.

KSRelief Center signs a contract to extend medical services for Yemeni refugees in Djibouti

A team of King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Actions (KS Relief Center) signed on Wednesday in Djibouti a contract with Universal Mercy Hospital a contract under which the hospital will continue to offer medical services to the Yemeni refugees Djibouti.
Some 2000 Yemeni nationals had fled their own homeland to Djibouti because of the warfare waged by Iran-backed Houthi militia. The Yemeni refugees are living in Abekh Camp in the capital city of Djibouti.
KS Relief Center also has funded a project to build 300 residential units to accommodate the Yemeni refugees in Abekh Camp. Some 85% of the residential projects was reported to have been accomplished.
