Yemen's Ambassador to Malaysia Adel ba-Humaid launched on Monday at the embassy's building here handing over the first batch of passports stamped as visiting visa to Yemeni community here.
The handover comes in the framework of cooperation between the two friendly countries and facilitations provided by Malaysian authorities to Yemeni people and in the framework of alleviating suffering on the Yemeni people under these catastrophic conditions over Houthi war on the state and the people.
The process of extension of visa terms are going on in accordance ad regulations demanded by Malaysian party, who pays regular inspection visits to inspect the ongoing measures and readiness of the system and writing down data, said ba-Humaid.
He confirmed keenness of his embassy on providing facilitations to Yemeni visitors including their families and those who are in remote states in Malaysia, thanking members of the community for cooperation.
Around five thousand Yemeni emigrates, whose residing visas expired in 2017, benefited from the program and the program will continue to cover the rest migrates, whose visa will expire on the forthcoming days.
The program grants Yemeni citizen an extension of three or six months or a year and two to emigrants of visiting visas.
