RIYADH-SABA
The Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND) has approved 10 projects in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030.
The projects cover the financing of Al Amal Microfinance Bank in Yemen to mitigate the impact of displacement due to the Houthi armed insurgency crisis and to improving the living conditions of families through innovative programs and products.
The Board of Directors of the Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND) held its 16th regular meeting at its headquarters in Riyadh on Sunday, December 17, 2017.
They decided to finance the projects found to be consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals 2030; empowering battered women, educating mothers and children, supporting persons of special need, and prompting the roles of NGOs in development.
The approved projects are supported by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, International Training Center, Arab Council for Childhood and Development, Arab Network for NGOs, Center of Arab Woman for Training and Research, Amal Bank for Microfinance in Yemen, National Family Safety Program, Saudi Child Care Association and Palestinian Sadaqa Medical Charity Association.
