PARIS-SABA
Yemen's Ambassador to France Dr. Riyadh Yasin has called on the UNESCO and all international organizations to pay more attention to saving Yemen's cultural heritage from the Houthi-Saleh rebel militias.
In a seminar on "Preserving Heritage and Artifacts in Yemen" held by the Gulf Researches Center and Yemen's permanent mission to the UNESCO in Paris on Monday, the rebels flattened cultural monuments complementing the work of other extremist terrorist groups.
He said that the militias' devastation of the cultural heritage in the country requires a condemnation of the work of these extremist groups which reject the idea of establishing a civil state and preserving the national identity and its inherent values of tolerance.
