Crude oil prices fell in early Asian trading today, Tuesday, as investors' expectations of demand growth eased due to ongoing trade tensions between the United States and China.
Undersecretary of Taiz province Dr Abdulqawee Al-Mikhlafi called on the World Food Program (WFP) to redouble relief efforts to contribute toward relieving the population of the province, which has been long besieged by Houthi-Saleh militias.
Dr Al-Mikhlafi met Monday in Taiz with representatives of the WFP. The meeting aimed to inform the WFP about the urgency for more humanitarian aids and relief so as to cope with increasingly growing needs for save-life- relief in the province of Taiz.
The meeting also discussed the WFP's activities in relief and humanitarian areas amid increasing shortage of food supplies. Action-plans to deliver relief and humanitarian assistance were also addressed.
Al-Mikhlafi affirmed that local authority is ready to exert all efforts to facilitate relief and humanitarian missions and secure relief staffs entry to the city of Taiz and people in need.
