His Excellency (HE) President Dr. Rashad a-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), affirmed that the state is determined to protect civilians, uphold its legal standing and maintain unity in its military and security decisions, warning of the danger posed by the escalation of the South Transitional Council (STC) in Hadramout and al-Mahra governorates and the involvement of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in supporting the rebellion and undermining state institutions.

Retaking Al-Baidh province a priority, VP asserts

Vice President Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh has made clear that legal leadership headed by President Abd-Rabbu M. Hadi is very keen on recapturing Al-Baidha province.

He stated that sacrifices made by the people of Al-Baidh in order to counter Houthis rebellious militias are deeply appreciated by all Yemeni people.

General Mohssen met Thursday with commander of 117 Infantry Brigade, brigadier general Abdurab Al-Asbahi and commander of Special Forces Unit in Al-Baidah, brigadier general Nasser Al-Ameri.

During the meeting, he expressed his thanks to the population of Al-Baidh province for the great deal of sacrifices they have been making to stand up to terrorism and sectarian-oriented proposals promoted by Houthi's militias.

Brigadier Al-Asbahi and brigadier Al-Ameri provided an overview on the security and military situations in the provinces, challenges and needed requirements to drive the militiamen out of Al-Baidah.
