Crude oil prices fell in early Asian trading today, Tuesday, as investors' expectations of demand growth eased due to ongoing trade tensions between the United States and China.
Vice President, Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh was briefed on demining plans devised to remove landmines and explosive devices planted during the ongoing warfare triggered by Houthi militias.
In his meeting held Wednesday with Chief of Staf Maj. Generl Tahir Al-Oqaili and Director of National Demining Program (NDP) brigadier Ameen Saleh, (Lt Gen) Mohssen heard a report presented by the Executive Center of the (NDP).
The report included the center action-plans aimed to conduct surveys and document areas where landmines planted, teams-work to demine and destroy explosive devises. Moreover, to establish a branch for the (NDP) in Marib province.
The vice president confirmed that Yemen is committed to entirely remove landmines and explosive devices planted by Houthi militias, in violation of all international agreements and treaties.
Mohssen highlighted the need for more efforts must be exerted in coordination with the UNDP and international organizations that operate in this domain. Raising-awareness campaigns and workshop are necessary to reduce causalities and loses, he noted.
