Public Prosecutor says tribunals will be set up on abuse allegations

The Public Prosecutor Ali Al-Awash said that tribunals will be set up "in the coming period" to look into the allegations of human rights abuse referred by the National Committee for Investigating into Alleged Human Rights Abuses.

In a meeting with the members of the Committee in Aden on Sunday, he discussed the progress of the Committee's work including the reference of some investigated cases to the prosecutor to institute the proceedings in them.

The prosecutor emphasized that the allegations gathered by the Committee members should be well prepared and have all the required facts in them so that the courts can process them.
