President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadihas received a cable of congratulations from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the 55th anniversary of the 26th September Revolution. King Salman expressed wishes of welfare to the President and the government and people of Yemen.
The 26th September Revolution in 1962 led to the overthrow of the oppressive Imamate theocracy that ruled North Yemen for much of the 20th century, ultimately paving the road for the creation of the modern Republic of Yemen.
