Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, met with the UK Ambassador, Abda Shreif, to discuss bilateral relations and recent developments in Yemen. Al-Alimi emphasized the need for increased political, economic, and military pressure on the Houthi militia and its backers to restore security and stability in Yemen.
The President highlighted the importance of international support in sustaining recent improvements in the economy and currency exchange rates. He also stressed the need for continued cooperation with international partners to combat terrorism and organized crime. He called for increased support, including greater contributions to the humanitarian response plan and economic backing to improve living conditions and undermine the war economy.
