The newly appointed governors of the governorates of Lahj Murad al-Halimi, of Abyan Dr. Mukhtar al-Rabbash and of al-Dhale Maj. General Ahmed al-Qubba took the constitutional oath today, Saturday, before His Excellency President Dr. Rashad a-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC).

VP praises performance of national football team

Vice President Lt. Gen. Ali Mohsen Saleh praised the performance of the national football team during the match with its Filipino counterpart at the Stadium of Baclod in the third round of 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualifier in the UAE, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

During his meeting with Minister of Youth and Sports Nayef al-Bakri, the Vice President stressed the interest of the political leadership in sponsoring youth and developing their athletic abilities in various sports.

The Vice-President congratulated QasimSharaf on the occasion of winning the first place Princess Alia Bint Al Hussein's international hurdles jump championship in Amman.

He also expressed his congratulations to the Saudi leadership and people for the qualification of the Saudi national football team to the 2018 World Cup for the fifth time in its history.
