Yemen, OCHA discuss arrangements for the UN emergency response plan

Minister of Water and Environment Dr. Al-EzziShoreim held a meeting in Aden today withthe coordinator of the Supreme Relief Commission, Jamal al-Fakih and the Director of the OCHA George Khouri on the arrangements for the UN Emergency Response Plan 2018.
The meeting discussed the expansion of the humanitarian work in the different provinces and the UN relief programs through its offices in Yemen.
The meeting recalled the donor countries' support for Yemen's fight against epidemics and terminal illnesses that worsened in the absence of health services.
Shoreim affirmed the importance of regulating the work of relief organizations in a manner that integrates the humanitarian works and tackles the shortcomings.
The OCHA director highlighted the mutual trust with Yemeni authorities which serves to establish the support for the people afflicted by the ongoing conflict.
