Yemen, UK discuss coordination for fighting terrorism

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Hussein Arab and UK Ambassador to Yemen Simon Shercliffdiscussed on Wednesday coordination and cooperation for fighting terrorism and efforts exerted by the UK for supporting Yemen and ending Houthi-Saleh's coup.

Arab reviewed to Shercliff latest developments on national arena and valued support of the United Kingdom to the government and for keenness on the security, stability and unity of Yemen.

He confirmed keenness of the political leadership to realize peace and ending Yemeni people's suffering on the bases of the three peace references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Resolution 2216.

Arab also acquainted the ambassador withthe success achieved by the government in regaining the state and activating the different institutions including legislative one to ensure protection to Yemeni people and build their state.

For his part, Ambassador Shercliff praised efforts of the government and of the Arab Coalition, confirming support of his country to the legal authority and rejection Houthi-Saleh's coup. He also expressed keenness of the UK on realizing peace and stop bloodshed of Yemeni people.

He showed his country's readiness on coordination and cooperation with Yemeni government for fighting terrorism and providing expertise, consultations and training courses to Yemeni security forces.
