Yemen supports Kuwait measures against Iranian diplomaticmission
[21/07/2017 02:09]

ADEN-SABA
The government of Yemen has expressed its support to the measures taken by the State of Kuwait to reduce the Iranian diplomatic staff, close down the mission's technical offices in the country and suspend the joint Kuwaiti-Iranian committees.

Kuwait ordered on Thursday the expulsion of a number of Iranian diplomats for the involvement of Iranians in a spying case .

Yemen's foreign ministry said in a statement issued on Friday that "Iran's attempts to target Kuwait's security, the last of which was the Abdelli spying cell case" and recurrent other attempts to destabilize the region in more than one country showcases the range of Iran's malicious plots against the Arab states, individually and collectively.

"Thus, Iran has trespassed the red lines and become a threat to the international peace and security given the geographic and economic of importance of this region which concerns the whole world .

The statement affirmed the importance of countering whatever threatens the peace and security of Kuwait.

The foreign ministry also renewed Yemen' call for reforming the system of common Arab action in view of the challenges the Arab nation faces.
