Geneva, (Saba)- The United Kingdom is giving Yemeni issue extraordinary attention and the government is working with friends on having joint ways to help society and legal government, British Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Tobias Aloud has said.
Prime Minister Ahmad Ubaid Bin Daghr met with Aloud Wednesday on the sideline of the Conference of Supporting Humanitarian Response Plane in Yemen.
Bin Daghr welcomed support of British government to Yemen, confirming that the UK is a strategic partner and with this support the British government renews its commitment to Yemeni people and government.
The UK has allocated £139 million for supporting relief aid in Yemen with 25 % increase of British aid in the past.
"Yemen is witnessing a military coup would not have been continuing without Iran's support to Houthi militias and trafficking {modern weapons} to them for killing Yemeni people and bombarding brother Saudi Arabia's border," said bin Daghr.
He added that that the legal government has provided many concessions and showed willingness of accepting any solution that will help Yemen get rid of its crisis " such solutions should not contradict the three references; GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Resolution 2216."
