Yemen’s Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Dr. Jalal Faqira, discussed Tuesday with Chairman of the Jordanian Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission Hazem Al-Majali ways to enhance cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
The meeting addressed the possibility of benefiting from Jordan’s experience in the fields of capacity building, strategy development, and the review of organizational structures and legal frameworks governing their work.
Ambassador Faqira praised the distinguished Jordanian experience in strengthening integrity and transparency systems, combating corruption, and building the Commission’s capacities through a professional workforce dedicated to preventing corruption, deterring its occurrence, pursuing legal action, and enforcing the law in accordance with international standards.
For his part, the Jordanian official reviewed the key stages the Commission has gone through since its establishment, mechanisms for developing its institutional structure, human resources training and capacity-building programs, in addition to practices that have contributed to enhancing performance effectiveness and achieving the Commission’s objectives in the areas of corruption prevention, law enforcement, and promoting adherence to integrity and transparency standards.
