Minister of Planning looks for further Korean support

The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Afrah al-Zouba met today, Thursday, with Korean Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen DO Bong-Kae.

They conferred over aspects of the Korean contribution to the development and humanitarian actions in Yemen.

Dr. al—Zouba praised Korea's significant contribution to the development and humanitarian efforts in Yemen, underlining the need for further Korean support for the Yemeni government's efforts aimed to manage the economic and humanitarian challenges.

The Korean Ambassador stated that his government is interested in aiding Yemen and supporting the efforts aimed to establish security and stability, noting that the Republic of Korea used to provide Yemen with about $20 million in aid annually through the UN's agencies in addition to direct support.
