Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Shaya Zindani chaired Monday a meeting for the Crisis Management Committee to discuss the situation of basic services led by electricity, petroleum derivatives and gas.
Urgent solutions to current challenges, in the presence of the concerned ministers, will be explored.
The meeting reviewed technical reports on energy needs and fuel supplies for power generation stations, as well as efforts to stabilize the supply of domestic gas to markets.
The meeting also discussed mechanisms for coordination with the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen, to strengthen cooperation in implementing urgent interventions and service-oriented development projects.
During the meeting, Dr. Zindani stressed the importance of intensifying government efforts and adopting unconventional solutions to overcome economic difficulties and alleviate citizens’ suffering.
He praised the continued fraternal support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen and its vital role in supporting the service sector.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the committee approved a set of executive measures to address energy and gas crises according to specific timelines.
The Prime Minister directed continuous follow-up to ensure the desired stability in basic services.
