The Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani stated that supporting and developing official media institutions is a national priority at this stage, due to the media's crucial role in increasing public awareness, underpinning national identity and confronting disinformation campaigns.
It is time for the official media organizations to undertake their leading role from the temporary capital Aden, he stressed.
His remark came during a meeting he chaired today, Thursday, in the temporary capital, Aden, included Minister of Information Muammar al-Eryani.
The meeting devoted to discuss the situations of Aden Radio and Television and the 14 October Foundation.
" The official media institutions must regain their leading role from Aden, this is no longer an option, it is a national priority", Zindani said.
