SPRDY signs agreement to implement agricultural value chain project in 3 governorates
The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen (SPRDY) signed today in Riyadh with the Response Foundation for Humanitarian and Relief Work an agreement to implement the project "Enhancing the Agricultural Value Chain for Smallholders," which targets about 2,300 Yemeni families, equivalent to more than 16,000 beneficiaries, in the governorates of Abyan, Marib and Hadramout.

Minister of Culture, Tourism Discusses Support for Peace Efforts in Yemen with Berghof Foundation President

The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Muti’ Damaj met Tuesday in Berlin with the Executive Director of the Berghof Foundation Chris Coulter, Middle East Director Oliver Wils, and the organization’s Middle East team.

The two parties discussed support for peace efforts and the protection of the cultural and tourism sectors in light of the current developments in Yemen.

The meeting addressed the government’s plans and efforts for the upcoming phase, including the implementation of comprehensive reform programs and the improvement of conditions across various sectors of life.

The discussions also focused on supporting all initiatives aimed at achieving comprehensive and lasting peace and alleviating the humanitarian suffering exacerbated by the criminal practices committed by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia.

Minister Damaj affirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with international institutions specialized in peacebuilding, intensifying communication with regional and international partners, and benefiting from global expertise in research, dialogue and capacity building.

These efforts aim to support the restoration of state institutions, consolidate stability, and enhance security in Yemen.

For her part, Chris Coulter expressed her interest in closely following up developments in Yemen and reaffirmed the organization’s readiness to continue cooperation and exchange perspectives in support of peace efforts and regional stability.
