Planning Minister seeks greater development partnership with EU

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Afrah al-Zuba discussed today, Thursday, via video conference with the Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to the Republic of Yemen Patrick Simonnet joint cooperation and ways to further boost the developmental partnership.

Dr. al-Zubi stated that the government is keenly seeking to mobilize international support and direct it in line with national priorities.

"We're very keen to rebuild trust with donors by enhancing transparency and accountability", she said.
The EU Ambassador confirmed that Yemen is one of the EU's priorities.

He restated that the EU is committed to continue supporting economic reforms, the private sector, governance and mobilizing local revenues in Yemen.

The two sides agreed to continue joint coordination and enhance cooperation about top priorities to serve development and stability in Yemen.
