Prime Minister, Shaya Zindani, has instructed the Ministry of Electricity and Energy, relevant authorities, and local governments in beneficiary provinces to implement strict monitoring mechanisms to ensure the proper distribution and use of fuel derivatives allocated for power generation.
The grant, valued at $81.2 million, was provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During a review of the delivery process for the grant shipments to over 70 power generation stations in liberated provinces, Zindani emphasized that the government will take a firm stance against any manipulation, corruption, or misuse of the grant, which is part of the Saudi Program for Yemen's Development and Reconstruction.
