Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Mustafa Noman met Wednesday with the Head of the Department of Bilateral Relations with Middle Eastern, African and Latin American Countries at the German Foreign Ministry, Suzanne Aschi.

The Vice Minister touched on the situation in Yemen and current developments.

He confirmed the importance of joint cooperation in confronting the threats posed by the Houthis to security in Yemen, the region and the Red Sea and their impact on global trade.

He stressed the government's keenness to achieve peace.

He pointed out the importance of continuing German development and humanitarian support for Yemen and the government's appreciation of this support.

For her part, the German official reiterated her country's interest in Yemen and its support for the Yemeni government and peace process.
