Minister of Higher Education discusses with IOM needs of vocational institutes in Aden, Lahj, Taiz

Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Technical Education and Vocational Training Dr. Khaled al-Wasabi discussed with a delegation from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) the needs of vocational institutes in the governorates of Aden, Lahj and Taiz, and ways to support them.

Minister al-Wasabi stressed the need to develop a joint and detailed action plan between the Ministry and the International Organization for Migration, organize work mechanisms and implement projects.

He reviewed the actual needs of other four institutes to raise the quality of education and training.

Minister al-Wasabi reiterated the ministry's keenness to make the most of the available funding.

He argued directing the funding towards what is required and most needed in the local labor market to ensure that training is effective and serves development.

The IOM's delegation gave a detailed presentation on the results of the engineering team's field visit to the vocational institutes in the three governorates covered by the program.
