Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qasim Buhaybeh, chaired an expanded meeting of the preparatory committee for the upcoming Health Summit and the Health Fund Committee in Aden.

The meeting, attended by deputy ministers, assistant deputy ministers, and department directors, discussed ongoing preparations and practical steps to finalize the preparatory document for the summit, scheduled for October 22.

The document outlines the health sector's priorities, categorized into five main areas reflecting the most pressing national needs.

The committee also explored mechanisms to activate the proposed Health Fund, identify sustainable funding sources, and enhance basic health services. The proposed agenda for the summit was reviewed.
