Minister of Justice, Judge Badr al-Aaridha, met with the Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Ghada Waly, on the sidelines of the Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Commission meeting in Vienna.
The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between Yemen and UNODC to address current challenges and support Yemen's efforts in upholding the rule of law and updating crime-fighting legislation.
Al-Aaridha highlighted the Ministry's initiatives to develop the judicial system, including the establishment of specialized committees to draft an electronic judicial system. This system aims to streamline case management, automate information, and ensure transparency and efficiency in judicial proceedings.
