The Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism has launched an international competition for artists to create posters inspired by Bulgaria's unique charm and attractions. The initiative aims to promote Bulgaria as a year-round travel destination and highlight its rich cultural heritage.
The competition, announced by Tourism Minister Miroslav Borshosh, invites artists worldwide to submit their designs, capturing the essence of Bulgaria "as they see it or have yet to discover it - real, inspiring, and unique." A total prize fund of EUR 10,000 will be awarded, including a first prize of EUR 3,000 and three equal awards of EUR 2,000 each.
The competition is organized in partnership with the International Triennial of Stage Poster - Sofia, the Union of Bulgarian Artists, the National Academy of Art, and the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA). An exhibition featuring the award-winning and nominated posters will be held, showcasing the artistic interpretations of Bulgaria's beauty.
This initiative is expected to promote Bulgaria's tourism industry and showcase its rich cultural and natural heritage to a global audience.
