An agreement was signed today, Monday, aimed to expand capacity of the solar power plant in Aden with 120 MW, funded by the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The agreement inked in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi, by the Minister of Electricity and Energy Eng. Mane'a bin Yameen, the Governor of Aden Ahmed Lamlas and the General Director of the General Cooperation for Electricity Eng.
Mujeeb al-Shuaibi and the Head of the Strategic Projects at the Company of "Massdar" affiliated to Abu Dhabi for Future Energy Ali al-Shemmeri.
The Minister of Electricity and Aden Govenor highlighted the importance of the Emirati support for energy sector in Yemen, deeply appreciating the UAE's significant support for the renewable power projects which contribute to alleviate the citizens' suffering from power shortages, particularly during the summer time.
