RIYADH–SABA
Member of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Sheikh Othman Mujalli met with French Ambassador to Yemen Catherine Corm Kammoun in Riyadh today.
During the meeting, Mujalli discussed the bilateral relations between Yemen and France, highlighting France's role in supporting the government politically, economically, and developmentally.
Mujalli emphasized that the Houthi terrorist militia has managed to smuggle destructive tools into Yemen through their Iranian partners and supporters over the past few years.
He stressed that this terrorist group has compromised Yemen's security and regional interests in the Red Sea, impacting the local economy, flow of goods, and international shipping.
The Presidential Leadership Council has sought to achieve peace and offered opportunities for rapprochement, including approving passports, opening Sana'a airport and Hodeifah port, and reversing Central Bank decisions, all in the interest of peace for the Yemeni people.
Mujalli concluded that the international community has a responsibility to assist Yemen in achieving stability and supporting the government in its efforts to restore security, economy, and services..
