The Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasem Buyabeh held discussions today, Tuesday, with a team from the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO ) in the United Kingdom over the British support for health sector.
The conversations, which conducted via video conference technology, focused on the health sector's pressing needs.
The British Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Abda Sharif, the Director of Development Department Charles Harder and the Director of the Humanitarian Team Bam Valens contributed to the discussions.
The talks aimed to explore solutions to address the shortages of the external support for health sector in order to ensure the operation of the health facilities so that they can offer the health care services.
The two sides underscored the importance of activating the joint coordination and cooperation to contribute toward reducing the financing gap as a result of the decline of the external support in order to maintain the health programs, mainly the primary health care.
