Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani discussed Thursday with the Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Dr. Salem al-Malik the programs and activities provided by the organization and its projects aimed at enhancing cooperation in scientific and cultural fields.
During the meeting, as part of his current visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, the Minister was briefed on the organization's programs in Yemen and its contributions to preserving Yemeni heritage in light of the systematic targeting of authentic Yemeni culture and heritage.
He emphasized the importance of raising the level of cooperation between Yemen and the organization to meet the challenges posed by the ongoing Houthi militia rebellion and its impact on cultural and humanitarian sectors.
For his part, the Director General of ISESCO affirmed his close monitoring of the events in Yemen, reviewing a number of programs offered by the organization and its serious efforts to enhance cooperation with the Yemeni government to contribute to the protection of Yemeni heritage and promote cultural and humanitarian activities and programs.
