Deputy Governor of Taiz Dr. Abdulqawi al-Mikhlafi discussed Wednesday with the representative of the United Nations Development Program Basem Al-Suqair the program's interventions for the upcoming phase.
The meeting, which was attended by directors general of the districts, addressed the projects implemented in the sectors of water, health and education, as well as economic interventions and institutional support.
Dr. al-Mikhlafi praised the program's interventions and its implementation of projects in the targeted districts across various sectors that meet their priority needs.
He emphasized the local authority's commitment to providing possible facilitation to achieve the program's projects and ensure the success of its various interventions.
For his part, the UN official clarified that his visit to Taiz Governorate aims to follow up on the projects implemented in the targeted districts funded by the European Union and to discuss initial needs with the local authority and civil society partners.
