[27/11/2024 07:57]
ROME - SABA
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani has emphasized the importance of international support to enhance peace efforts in Yemen and to help the Yemeni people overcome the current circumstances.

This came during statements made by Minister Zindani to several official and unofficial Italian media outlets, including the official Italian news agency (ANSA), RAI Television, Channel Three, Radio Rai, the (Agenzia Nova) agency, the daily newspaper (Corriere della Sera), and the Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI).

Minister Zindani highlighted the bilateral relations between Yemen and Italy and the efforts of the Yemeni government to address security challenges.

He affirmed the importance of close cooperation with the international community to confront the terrorist attacks carried out by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, which threaten security and stability in Yemen and the entire region.

The minister expressed the Yemeni government’s appreciation for the continuous support provided by the Italian government, praising the humanitarian role it plays through offering assistance to the Yemeni people to alleviate the suffering caused by the ongoing war.

He reviewed the severe deterioration of the humanitarian situation due to the war ignited by the Houthi terrorist militias, pointing out the continued military escalation by the Houthis and their grave violations against civilians, which deepens the humanitarian crisis and hinders efforts to achieve peace.

He concluded his statements by calling for enhancing international efforts to support the peace process in Yemen, emphasizing the importance of holding obstructive parties accountable and providing the necessary support to the legitimate government to achieve security and stability for the Yemeni people.
