Yemen's Ambassador to Malaysia Dr. Abdulsalam Ba Humaid discussed Tuesday with Mohammad Razdan bin Jamil, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Malaysia for West Asia the latest political and security developments in Yemen.
Ba Humaid reviewed the efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government in addressing the economic and security challenges posed by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.
The ambassador congratulated Malaysia on assuming the presidency of the Asian bloc for the year 2025, expressing the Yemeni government's wishes for Malaysia's success and further achievements on both local and international levels. He emphasized Yemen’s commitment to continuing joint work and coordination between the two countries on various issues of mutual interest.
He also addressed the situation of the Yemeni community in Malaysia, expressing Yemen's appreciation and gratitude for the facilitation and cooperation extended by Malaysian authorities towards Yemenis residing in the country, as part of Malaysia's supportive stance towards Yemen and its people on all fronts.
For his part, the Malaysian Deputy Foreign Minister reaffirmed Malaysia's support for a sustainable peaceful solution in Yemen and its commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and their peoples.
