The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Governor of Yemen at the World Bank (WB) Group, Dr. Wa'ed Badhib participated today, Saturday, in the meeting of Arab governors with the President of the WB Ajay Banga, in Washington, DC.
Dr. Badhib underscored the need to adopt a unified approach to the WB Group with a focus on the jobs agenda and economic transformation, especially in countries suffering from fragility and conflict such as Yemen.
He noted that it is time to launch a multi-donor fund for reconstruction and development in Yemen.
The Minister of Planning welcomed the unified representation of the WB Group's institutions in Yemen and the increase in the level of the Group's participation and missions to Aden, stressing the government's readiness to facilitate the movements of sectoral missions.
