Person killed, 11 others injured by blast southern Pakistan

One person has been killed and 11 others were injured over a blast in Krachi city, the capital of Sind Region southern Pakistan.

A body and a number of injured have been taken to hospital, the Rescue Department in Sind Region has reported, making it clear that 10 vehicles were damaged by the fire resulted from the blast.

The Pakistani police reported that the initial investigations indicate that blast took place in an oil tank along the Airport Road in Karachi and is still investigating the reasons behind the blast.

For his part, the Spokesperson of Pakistani Civil Aviation Authority Saif Allah said in a statement that the blast did not cause any material damages to the airport building, clarifying that all entry and exit points of the airport were closed by security.
