The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fishery Salem al-Soqatri held discussions today, Thursday, in the transitional capital Aden, with the Representative of the UNDP in Yemen Zina Ali over joint cooperation and coordination.

The project of repairing fishing seaport in Aden was key focus of the conversations.

The project is funded by German Ministry for Economic and Development Cooperation through the German Development Fund. The total budget of the project is $35 million.

The work on the sustainable project for fishery farms in the Red, Sea, Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden was also touched upon.

The project is funded by the World Bank and, carried out by the UNDP, aimed to repair nine fishery unloading centers in the governorates of Aden, Hadramout, al-Mahra and Taiz..
