Yemen ambassador Egyptian, foreign official discuss situation of Yemeni citizens in Egypt

Yemen's Ambassador to Egypt Khaled Bahah held talks with the Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Ambassador Ismail Khairat a number of issues mainly the situation of the Yemeni citizens in Egypt.

Bahah reviewed the main issues and challenges facing the Yemeni community, which need to be solved, most importantly the process of registering and admitting Yemeni students in Egyptian private and international schools, which now stipulate that students obtain an annual residence permit as a requirement, a departure from the normal procedure where students based on their academic registration used to acquire residence permit. They also addressed the problem of delayed security approvals for students of excellence and medical fellowship, which takes a long time and compromise the future of postgraduates doctors.
