The Kuwaiti Al Najat Charity announced the allocation of urgent food and shelter assistance to help 1,000 Yemeni families affected by the recent floods that hit several governorates.
Abdullah Al-Shahab, the Head of the Resources, Public Relations and Media Sector of the Charity told the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA) on Thursday that the urgent assistance, estimated at around 50,000 Kuwaiti dinars (approximately $165,000) in the first phase, is a continuation of the humanitarian and relief efforts carried out by the charity in various countries, especially the brotherly countries, in the midst of crises and disasters.
Al-Shahab added that the relief assistance includes 1,000 food baskets and a set of shelter supplies, including 250 tents, blankets and mattresses, as well as 250 potable water tanks.
