Minister of Defense meets Chinese Chargé d'Affaires

RIYADH – SABA

Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari discussed with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Yemen Shao Zheng the latest developments in the Yemeni arena.

The Minister of Defense referred to the latest developments in light of the Houthi escalation on the battle fronts and its disturbance of regional and global security through its targeting of commercial ships and navigation routes in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, pointing out that the militias are violating local and international covenants, charters and laws and working to destabilize the region.

For his part, the Chinese Chargé d'Affaires affirmed his country's support for Yemen and its political leadership, represented by the Presidential Leadership Council.
