Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Tareq Saleh and the Egyptian Ambassador Ahmed Farouk discussed today developments in the situation in Yemen and the region, and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields, especially in the field of maritime security.

In a virtual meeting, the leadership council member confirmed that the security of the southern Red Sea is an integral part of the security of Yemen and the entire region, praising Egypt's historic and distinguished role in Yemen and the region, appreciating the continued cooperation and coordination between the two countries in facing the current challenges.

The Egyptian ambassador stressed the importance of maintaining the security and safety of navigation in the southern Red Sea as a national security issue of concern to all Arab countries and the international navigation corridor.
