NEW YORK-SABA
Members of the Security Council have renewed their support to the UN Envohy for Yemen Hans Grundberg on efforts aiming at reaching a political settlement under Yemeni leadership on the bases of the three agreed upon references; the GCC Initiative, the Outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and Security Council Resolution's 2216.

The members strongly denounced the escalation attack attributed to Houthi militia by drones on Bahraini troops within the Arab Coalition forces on Saudi southern border, killing three and injured a number of soldiers.

The members confirmed that Houthi terrorist attack poses dangerous threat to peace process and regional stability, including Yemen, renewing concern over targeting infrastructure in southern Saudi cities.

The release issued by the Security Council called upon Houthi militia to stop all terrorist attacks, confirming need of taking decisive steps towards permanent peace.

They also renewed their strong support to efforts of reaching a political settlement to end suffering of Yemeni people.
