Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qasim Buhaibeh, discussed in the temporary capital, Aden, today, with a team from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Yemen, a number of issues related to areas of joint coordination in health-related issues.
The team acquainted the Minister of Health on the current situation of immigrants and refugees, how to integrate health programs for refugees with the services of the Ministry of Health, and to identify aspects of joint cooperation in the various projects adopted by the Commission, planning and preparation for the next stage.
The minister referred to the growing needs and burdens at the present time to meet the needs of refugees, amidst the continued influx of migrants in large numbers from the Horn of Africa, amounting to more than one hundred thousand refugees.
