His Excellency (HE) President Dr. Rashad a-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), affirmed that the state is determined to protect civilians, uphold its legal standing and maintain unity in its military and security decisions, warning of the danger posed by the escalation of the South Transitional Council (STC) in Hadramout and al-Mahra governorates and the involvement of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in supporting the rebellion and undermining state institutions.

Swedish envoy praises stability in Hadhramout

Swedish Envoy for Yemen Peter Semneby has praised the state of security and stability in areas of the Desert and the Valley of Hadhramout and security and military efforts in fighting terrorism.

In his meeting Thursday here with the Commander of the First Military Zone Saleh Taimas with attendance of Deputy Governor of Hadhramout, the Head of Security Committee in the Desert and the Valley of Hadhramout Amer al-Ameri, the Swedish Envoy and the Special Envoy of the Swedish Government for Peace, Security and Development Parpero Sifidreg confirmed keenness of Swedish Kingdom of reaching solutions ending conflict in Yemen.

The two parties discussed security and military situations in the areas of the Desert and the Valley of Hadhramout, coordinating efforts between the First and Second Military Zones and efforts of fighting terrorism and smuggling and normalizing conditions in the province.

During the meeting, Taimas reviewed efforts of the First Military Zone and its affiliates in tightening security and combating crime and smuggling in coordination with local authority in the province.
