Cabinet reviews national developments in virtual meeting

RIYADH - SABA
The Council of Ministers held a virtual meeting today headed by Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik, and reviewed the developments of the situation on the national arena in the political, military, security, economic and service aspects, in light of recent developments, and the government's efforts to carry out its duties and responsibilities.

At the beginning of the session, the Prime Minister briefed the ministers on the new developments on the national arena, including international initiatives for peace, the government's interactions with them, and the continuous Saudi efforts to move forward in completing the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement.

The meeting also discussed the reports submitted by ministers, especially service ministries, on their field work on the ground to alleviate the suffering of the people.

Abdulmalik stressed that all ministers should carry out their duties and responsibilities in serving the public and alleviating their suffering away from any political rivalries.

Abdulmalik directed all ministries to double coordination with local authorities and work according to an integrative principle to address the challenges facing the public in the fields of services and livelihoods,

He pointed to the importance of focusing fully on supporting the national battle to complete the restoration of the state and end the Iranian-backed Houthi coup.

The premier stressed that all parties, forces and components that signed the Riyadh Agreement are fully aware of the magnitude of the existing challenges and the importance of moving forward in completing the implementation of the agreement as the only option to cross to safety, given that this is a historical and moral responsibility that rests on everyone.
