Yemen has condemned the Iranian seizure of Stena Impero, a British flagged tanker, in the strait of Hormuz on Friday. In a statement, the Yemeni foreign ministry said this act by the Iranian regime "is a continuation of the escalation against international shipping in the international waters and the strait of Hormuz."
The statement affirmed the solidarity of the Yemeni government with the British government and called upon the international community to denounce these acts and to pressure the Iranian regime into ending its escalations and provocations which threaten international security and peace.
