Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Yemen, Rashad al-Alimi, held a phone call with Prime Minister Salem Saleh Bin Braik to discuss the government's efforts to mitigate the impact of the recent floods and severe weather conditions in several governorates.
During the call, the Prime Minister briefed the President on the damage caused by the floods and heavy rains, particularly in Aden, Hadhramout, Lahj, and Shabwa governorates. The government has been working with local authorities, regional organizations, and international partners to provide aid and support to affected communities.
President Al-Alimi praised the government's efforts and the measures taken to mitigate the impact of the severe weather, asserting the importance of developing sustainable policies to enhance early warning systems and adapt to climate change, particularly in the eastern governorates.
