The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Afrah al-Zouba stated that the Yemeni state undertakes its constitutional and sovereign responsibility to protect its citizens, lands, coasts, ports and territorial waters, and that enabling its institutions to carry out this responsibility is a key element for the security of Bab al-Mandeb, the Red Sea and international navigation and trade.

Presidential Leadership Council Member Lt. Gen. Sultan al-Arada called for stronger international measures against Iran's support for the Houthi terrorist militia, warning of threats to regional security, maritime navigation, and global trade.

During a virtual meeting with Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy to Yemen Zhao Zheng, al-Arada stressed the need to pressure Iran to stop its support for the Houthis and to end attacks targeting the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab, and international shipping routes.

He highlighted China's role in supporting UN efforts and international resolutions to enhance regional stability and protect maritime security.
