Al-Subaihi Urges Removal of Obstacles Facing Humanitarian Work

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Al-Subaihi, met on Wednesday in the interim capital Aden with Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Afrah Al-Zouba.

In a statement to Saba, Al-Subaihi was briefed by the minister on the ministry’s activities during the recent period, including efforts to strengthen relations with international partners and the donor community, foremost among them the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, as well as the identification of development and humanitarian priorities aligned with national needs and aimed at improving public services and living conditions.

Dr. Al-Zouba also reviewed the ministry’s current and future programs and plans, particularly in coordinating humanitarian response efforts and promoting a transition from relief to sustainable development and reconstruction.

Al-Subaihi praised the ministry’s efforts and its vital role within the government system in restoring the path of growth and recovery, enhancing trust with donors, and ensuring the continuation of international support at all levels.

He stressed the importance of facilitating humanitarian work and removing all obstacles and restrictions facing the humanitarian community, enabling relief interventions to reach beneficiaries across the country.
