Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qassim Buhaibeh, discussed on Wednesday in the interim capital Aden with a delegation from the University of Rostock, headed by Dr. Mark Philipp, ways to enhance academic and health cooperation and develop the existing partnership between the two sides.
In a statement to Saba, the meeting—attended by President of Aden University, Dr. Al-Khader Nasser Lasour, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Primary Healthcare, Dr. Ali Al-Waleedi, and several academic leaders—reviewed mechanisms to improve health education outcomes and strengthen training and qualification programs in line with the needs of the healthcare sector.
Discussions also covered the development of joint programs, curriculum modernization, and the implementation of research projects, paving the way for future cooperation agreements.
Minister Buhaibeh emphasized that advancing health education is fundamental to building an efficient and sustainable healthcare system, stressing the importance of strengthening international partnerships to transfer expertise, modernize curricula, and enhance the capacity of healthcare personnel, particularly in primary healthcare.
